Jessica Gurnsey is a Wellington-based portrait painter who finds the extraordinary in the everyday and preserves fleeting human presence on canvas.

Her work has earned national recognition across Aotearoa's most respected awards, including the ADAM Portraiture Award (youngest ever winner), and most recently the overall winner of the Aotearoa Gold Stuff Art Award. She has also been recognised through the National Youth Art Award, the Kumeu Arts Award, and the Craigs Aspiring Art Prize.

Jessica is currently represented by Boyd-Dunlop Gallery (Napier) and Gallery De Novo (Dunedin), and she has exhibited at the Auckland Art Show, the NZ Art Show, Art in the Park, and various solo and group shows across Aotearoa.
